INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2017: EMPOWERING WOMEN FOR DECENT HOUSING

The month of March is a special dedication to Women in the world. The celebration of international women’s day has taken another twist this year with Uganda Housing Co-operative Union holding its own in Nkokonjeru Town Council. The celebration started with a brass band lead a peaceful matching in Nkokonjeru Town Council to the next village of Kazinga Naziwanga with all Housing Cooperative societies joining the rest of the women in the world and most especially in housing cooperative union in the campaign to empower women to access adequate. The Guest Honor the Deputy LC5 a lady honored the celebration and coordinated the fundraising exercise after her remarks which encouraged women to upscale on matters of development like owning a home. She continued to ask men to support the women in any necessary initiative that leads to development of a woman. The celebration was honored by the Senior Commercial Officer who encouraged cooperative executive teams to drop the selfish motives which have seen most developmental groups collapsed.
